As a corollary project to GMK’s design and construction of the City of Lake City’s Cultural Arts & Educational Center/Parks & Recreation Center, GMK was further retained to design and build a new laboratory and complete upgrades to an existing building at Lake City’s Lake Swamp Wastewater Treatment Facility located on Cemetery Road.
In addition to space for a modern wastewater treatment laboratory, the building programming for the approximately 2,100-square-foot structure includes a common area personnel entry, administrative offices for the plant manager, assistant manager, and other laboratory staff offices, a server room, a printer room, men’s and women’s toilet facilities, a conference room, a break room, and storage areas, in addition to mechanical/electrical systems.
GMK further developed designs for pole barn structure/truck shed for the City’s Solid Waste Facility.
The City held a formal groundbreaking in July of 2022, with estimated construction completion by 2023.
